What Is the Difference Between Zoho CRM and Zoho CRM Plus? And Which CRM Zoho One Includes

By Ashikur Rahman16 min read

Quick answer: Zoho CRM is one sales app sold in five editions, from Free to Ultimate at $52 a user a month billed annually. Zoho CRM Plus bundles Zoho CRM with help desk, live chat, email marketing, social, projects, surveys and analytics, and its $57 Enterprise edition gives every user the Ultimate edition of Zoho CRM. Zoho One, the bigger suite, includes only Enterprise-level CRM features and sells Ultimate as an add-on. So the bigger suite carries the smaller CRM. Zoho's own help article comparing the two is also out of date. Every figure here was read on Zoho's pages on 28 September 2026.

What does Zoho CRM Plus add on top of Zoho CRM?

Zoho CRM is the sales app on its own. Zoho CRM Plus is that app plus the tools a sales, marketing and support team share, sold as one licence per user.

The Zoho CRM Plus pricing page lists the bundle in its FAQ: "It includes Zoho CRM for sales automation and pipeline management, SalesIQ for live chat and visitor tracking, Desk for helpdesk support, and Projects for effective project management." It goes on to name Campaigns, Social, Survey, Analytics and SalesInbox, then Zoho Backstage, Marketing Automation, PageSense, Zoho Meeting and Cliq.

So the practical difference is who holds the licence. A Zoho CRM seat is for someone who works deals. A CRM Plus seat is for someone who also answers tickets, runs website chat or sends campaigns. The detail most comparison pages miss sits one level down: which edition of Zoho CRM you get inside each bundle.

What do the Zoho CRM editions cost in 2026?

Zoho CRM has five editions. Paid editions run from $14 to $52 a user a month on annual billing, and from $20 to $65 on monthly billing.

The Zoho CRM pricing page says "Free forever for 3 users." It advertises "Save up to 34%" on yearly plans and notes that "Local taxes (VAT, GST, etc.) will be charged in addition to the prices mentioned." There is no lock-in: "You are not bound by any contracts or commitments."

EditionAnnual, per user a monthMonthly, per userRecord storage, up to 200 users
Free$0, 3 users$0, 3 users5,000 records (10 MB)
Standard$14$20100,000 records (200 MB)
Professional$23$3510 GB (5M records approx)
Enterprise$40$5010 GB (5M records approx)
Ultimate$52$6510 GB (5M records approx)

One caution on AI. The comparison table marks Zia's assistant rows as available from Enterprise up, while newer pricing cards list "AI agents" under Standard or Professional. The safe reading: the full Zia assistant starts at Enterprise, and some AI agent features appear lower down.

What does Zoho CRM Ultimate add over Enterprise?

Ultimate adds headroom, not a new way of working: five times the file storage, more sandboxes and ten times the prediction models. It costs $12 a user a month more than Enterprise on annual billing.

These rows come from the Zoho CRM comparison page.

LimitEnterpriseUltimate

Prediction Builder2 models per org20 models per org
Import per batch30,000 records50,000 records
Data storage above 200 users15 GB30 GB

For a five-person team, file storage is the limit most likely to bite: attached contracts and PDFs fill 1 GB per org long before 10 GB of records.

Which Zoho CRM edition comes with CRM Plus?

CRM Plus Enterprise includes the Ultimate edition of Zoho CRM for every user. Zoho states it on its CRM Plus pricing calculator.

The CRM Plus pricing calculator describes the CRM component as "Single user access to the ultimate edition of Zoho CRM including contact management, sales automation, workflow automation, and advanced analytics." The help desk is "Single user access to enterprise edition of Zoho Desk". The CRM pricing page's CX Platform tab adds: "*All modules included at their highest edition."

CRM Plus now comes in two editions. Starter is new and is labelled "For small teams".

CRM Plus editionAnnual, per user a monthMonthly, per userPlan includesStated limits
Starter$20$25Sales, Marketing, Help desk, Live chat, Social media, Projects, Surveys, Analytics2500 workflow rules; 1 chatbot; 5 customer support channels
Enterprise$57$69Starter plus Website Performance, Events, Webinars, Team Collaboration, Brand Management, Marketing Automation10 GB data storage up to 200 users; 100 Blueprints per org; 10 customer service channels

Zoho does not publish which Zoho CRM edition is inside CRM Plus Starter. The calculator prices only the $57 edition, and the Starter card names "Sales" without an edition. Do not assume Starter includes Ultimate.

The calculator also claims a saving: an "Individual Price $ 352" across eight apps against a "CRM Plus Price $ 57". Its footnote reads "* Zoho pricing as of July 2023", so those standalone prices are not current. Its Campaigns line of $39 is well above today's $23.25 for a 5,000-contact Standard plan.

CRM Plus has a "30-day free trial" with "No credit card needed", and the page says "there are no long-term contracts."

What version of Zoho CRM is included in Zoho One?

Zoho One includes Enterprise-level Zoho CRM features, not Ultimate. Zoho sells Ultimate to Zoho One customers as a paid add-on.

The Zoho One applications FAQ asks it directly: "Does Zoho One include Zoho CRM's Ultimate Edition? No. Zoho One's plan includes only the enterprise-level features of CRM." It continues: "However, Zoho CRM's Ultimate Edition can be availed as an add-on." The Zoho One plan details page repeats: "* CRM Ultimate edition is available as an add-on."

Zoho One's CRM is not a carbon copy of standalone Enterprise, though. The same FAQ says: "The storage limit in Zoho CRM is 1 GB per organization, with an additional 1 GB per employee."

Where you buy Zoho CRMCRM edition you getAnnual, per seat a month
Zoho CRM on its ownWhichever you pick$0 to $52
CRM Plus StarterZoho does not publish it$20
CRM Plus EnterpriseUltimate$57
Zoho One, All EmployeeEnterprise-level features$37 per employee
Zoho One, FlexibleEnterprise-level features$90

That is the finding in one line. The suite with 50+ apps gives you Enterprise-level CRM. The narrower suite gives you Ultimate. If the CRM is why you are buying, CRM Plus Enterprise hands you the top edition without an add-on.

Transparency note: CriticNest has no affiliate or commercial relationship with Zoho, HubSpot or Pipedrive. Nothing here is a paid placement. Zoho runs an affiliate program paying 15% on qualified sales for the first 12 months; CriticNest has not joined it, and every Zoho link here is a plain link. Every price and quotation was read on the vendors' own pages on 28 September 2026; if that changes, the disclosure will move to the top of this article.

How does Zoho One pricing work: All Employee or Flexible?

All Employee costs $37 per employee a month on annual billing, but you must license everyone on payroll. Flexible costs $90 per user a month on annual billing, and you license only the people who need it.

The Zoho One pricing page shows both cards and describes the product as "50+ unified business apps". The All Employee footnote reads: "*Your business will have to commit to purchase Zoho One licenses for ALL employees on payroll." The Zoho One pricing FAQ gives monthly billing as $45 for All Employee and $105 for Flexible, and says Flexible lets you "buy only the number of user licenses you need". It adds: "There is no minimum amount of licenses for either plan."

The licensing rule has teeth: "If you are on the All Employee Pricing plan and we see that not all of your employees are licensed, then we will notify you to either purchase remaining licenses or switch to Flexible User Pricing. As per our licensing agreement we reserve the right to take further action, including termination of service."

The FAQ also mentions an Essentials plan at $9 a user a month, but no Essentials card was shown on the pricing page for this visit, so treat it as region-limited.

Is Zoho's own comparison of CRM Plus and Zoho One out of date?

Yes, on two points. Zoho's help article still says Zoho One requires a licence for every employee and has "40+" apps. The live pricing page sells a Flexible plan with no such rule and says "50+".

The Zoho help article on CRM Plus and Zoho One showed "Updated: 2 years ago" when read. It says Zoho One "includes 40+ web applications". Its closing note reads: "Note : For Zoho CRM Plus, you can purchase user licenses for your customer-facing teams. With Zoho One, you need to purchase user licenses for all the employees in your organization."

That note describes the All Employee plan only. A company that wants Zoho One for five of its twelve staff can buy it today on Flexible; it just pays $90 a seat instead of $37.

Which version of Zoho Books is included in Zoho One?

Zoho does not publish a named Zoho Books edition inside Zoho One. Its only official statement is that Zoho One gives enterprise-level features without mapping plans app by app.

The applications FAQ says: "We do not go by plan mapping in each service, but assure enterprise level feature availability." The plan details page lists Finance as: "Includes Zoho Books, Zoho Invoice, Zoho Expense, Zoho Inventory, and Zoho Billing." No Books tier is named.

On the Zoho community thread about Zoho One editions, a Zoho MVP (a volunteer, not staff) writes: "The Zoho One edition of any given app is its own entity, which isn't always correlated to the standalone tiers." The same MVP reports that multi-currency customers are excluded from the Zoho One edition of Books. That is a community report, not a Zoho statement, but it is reason to test your accounting features in a trial.

For scale, standalone Zoho Books in the US is priced per organisation, from Standard at $15 to Ultimate at $240 a month on annual billing, with a Free plan for businesses under the $50K revenue threshold. If accounting is the real driver, compare the full bill in what QuickBooks costs a small business in 2026, with the cheaper alternatives.

What does a five-person team pay for a year on each Zoho option?

For five users on annual billing, the range runs from $1,200 on CRM Plus Starter to $5,400 on Zoho One Flexible. CRM Plus Enterprise, the bundle with Ultimate CRM, costs $3,420.

The arithmetic is shown line by line, at list prices before tax: users times the monthly per-user price times 12.

Option, five usersCRM edition insideArithmetic, annual billingYear, annualYear, monthly billing
Zoho CRM EnterpriseEnterprise5 x $40 x 12$2,400$3,000
Zoho CRM UltimateUltimate5 x $52 x 12$3,120$3,900
CRM Plus StarterNot published5 x $20 x 12$1,200$1,500
CRM Plus EnterpriseUltimate5 x $57 x 12$3,420$4,140
Zoho One All Employee, 5 staffEnterprise-level5 x $37 x 12$2,220$2,700
Zoho One FlexibleEnterprise-level5 x $90 x 12$5,400$6,300

Two rows deserve a second look. CRM Plus Enterprise costs $300 a year more than Zoho CRM Ultimate alone ($3,420 minus $3,120), and that $300 buys the help desk, chat, marketing, projects and analytics on top of the same CRM edition. And Zoho One at five staff costs less than Zoho CRM Enterprise alone. Zoho's own FAQ asks: "How can I pay less to license Zoho One for every employee than I paid to license CRM Plus for only some of my employees?"

When is Zoho One cheaper than CRM Plus?

Zoho One All Employee is cheaper than CRM Plus Enterprise while $37 times your total employees stays below $57 times your CRM Plus seats. For five seats, that holds up to seven employees.

  • CRM Plus Enterprise, 5 seats: 5 x $57 = $285 a month, whatever the headcount.
  • Zoho One All Employee, 5 employees: 5 x $37 = $185 a month.
  • Zoho One All Employee, 7 employees: 7 x $37 = $259 a month. Still under $285.
  • Zoho One All Employee, 8 employees: 8 x $37 = $296 a month. Now above $285.

So the break-even is the eighth employee. A five-person customer team inside a company of eight or more pays less on CRM Plus, and gets Ultimate CRM rather than Enterprise-level features.

Against Zoho CRM Enterprise alone the window is tighter: with five seats, Zoho One wins only at exactly five employees ($185 against $200 a month). At six it is $222.

Flexible never wins on price against CRM Plus for the same seats: $90 a user against $57, with the smaller CRM.

Is CRM Plus cheaper than buying Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk separately?

Against a like-for-like stack, CRM Plus Enterprise is cheaper at every team size. Against the cheapest standalone editions, buying separately is cheaper at any size.

The figures use Zoho's US Desk prices on annual billing (Standard $14, Enterprise $40) and Zoho Campaigns Standard for 5,000 contacts at $23.25 a month flat per organisation, from the Zoho Desk pricing page and the Zoho Campaigns pricing page.

  • Like for like: CRM Ultimate $52 plus Desk Enterprise $40 is $92 a user. Five users: 5 x $92 + $23.25 = $483.25 a month, against 5 x $57 = $285 on CRM Plus.
  • Lighter mix: CRM Enterprise $40 plus Desk Standard $14 is $54 a user. Five users: 5 x $54 + $23.25 = $293.25 a month, against $285. CRM Plus saves $8.25 a month, or $99 a year. At eight users it flips: $455.25 separate against $456 on CRM Plus.
  • Cheapest mix: CRM Standard $14 plus Desk Standard $14 is $28 a user. One user: $28 + $23.25 = $51.25 against $57.

None of these stacks includes SalesIQ, Social, Survey, Projects or Analytics, which CRM Plus does.

How does Zoho compare with HubSpot and Pipedrive for three users?

For three users, Zoho CRM Free costs nothing and covers all three seats. HubSpot's free tier stops at two users, and Pipedrive has no free plan.

On annual billing, three seats of Zoho CRM Standard cost 3 x $14 x 12 = $504, the same as Pipedrive Lite. HubSpot Starter costs $252 at its promotional price or $720 at list; the HubSpot CRM pricing page says only "Select offers available for a limited time." CRM Plus Starter is $720. See what HubSpot CRM costs past the free tier and the two-year HubSpot and Pipedrive bill for five seats. Unsure you need a CRM at all? Run the ten-minute CRM test for small businesses first.

Which Zoho product should a small team buy?

Buy Zoho CRM alone if only sellers need a licence. Buy CRM Plus if the same people sell, support and market. Buy Zoho One only if you will use its back-office apps and the licensing maths works.

  • Three users or fewer, sales only: Zoho CRM Free, then Standard at $14.
  • Sales only, growing team: Zoho CRM Enterprise at $40. Ultimate only if file storage or sandboxes bind.
  • Sales plus support, tight budget: CRM Plus Starter at $20; check its unnamed CRM edition in the trial.
  • Customer-facing team that wants the top CRM: CRM Plus Enterprise at $57.
  • Company of seven or fewer, five CRM users: Zoho One All Employee at $37.
  • A few people need the whole suite: Zoho One Flexible at $90, priced against CRM Plus plus one standalone app.

How this was researched

Every figure and quotation was read on 28 September 2026 on the vendors' own pages: the Zoho CRM pricing and comparison pages, the CRM Plus pricing page and calculator, the Zoho One pricing page, pricing FAQ, applications FAQ and plan details page, the Zoho help article comparing CRM Plus and Zoho One, the Zoho community thread on Zoho One editions, and the Zoho Books, Desk and Campaigns pricing pages. HubSpot and Pipedrive figures come from their own pricing pages, read the same day.

Pages were loaded in a headless Chrome browser, and monthly prices were captured by clicking each monthly toggle. Zoho shows prices by location, and the requests came from outside the US. The CRM, CRM Plus and Zoho One pages still rendered in US dollars, which matched Zoho's own pricing data files. The Desk page showed lower Asia-Pacific prices, so the US Desk figures come from Zoho's own pricing data file. HubSpot's promotion may be regional.

Not verified: the CRM edition inside CRM Plus Starter and the Books edition inside Zoho One (Zoho does not publish either), and whether Zoho One Essentials is sold to US buyers. No product was bought or benchmarked for this article. The author's role is the careful reader of the fine print.

The verdict: the bigger Zoho suite has the smaller CRM

Zoho CRM is the sales app. CRM Plus is that app plus support, chat, marketing, social, projects, surveys and analytics for the people who face customers. The detail that should decide most purchases is the CRM edition inside each bundle. CRM Plus Enterprise, at $57 a user a month on annual billing, gives every user Zoho CRM Ultimate, and Zoho says so on its own calculator. Zoho One, at $37 or $90, gives "only the enterprise-level features of CRM" and sells Ultimate as an add-on.

So if the CRM is the centre of your business, CRM Plus Enterprise is the stronger purchase, and for five users it costs only $300 a year more than Ultimate alone. Pick Zoho One when you need its finance or HR apps and All Employee pricing stays under CRM Plus: for five CRM users, seven employees or fewer. Ignore the licensing note in Zoho's older help article; Flexible pricing now lets you license only some staff.
