How Much Does It Cost to Host n8n on Hostinger?

By Ashikur Rahman16 min read

Quick answer: Hostinger sells n8n two ways. A self-hosted VPS starts at $6.49 a month on a 24-month term, paid upfront as $155.76 for KVM 1, and renews at $11.99 a month. Hostinger's managed AI automation apps plan, which runs n8n for you, starts at $4.99 a month for 24 months, $119.76 upfront, and also renews at $11.99 a month. The managed plan is cheaper and needs no server work, but Hostinger publishes no CPU, RAM or execution limits for it. The VPS publishes its resources, but Hostinger's support stops at the server and does not cover your workflows. Prices were read on 25 October 2026, during Hostinger's Black Friday sale.

What are the two ways to run n8n on Hostinger?

The first is a virtual private server with n8n installed. Hostinger's self-hosted n8n page sells four KVM plans with an n8n template preloaded. In Hostinger's words: "n8n comes preinstalled with Hostinger's "Ubuntu 24.04 with n8n" VPS template. Within a Docker environment, you can quickly and easily deploy your automation workflows." You get root access to the server, and the server is yours to run.

The second is a managed plan. Hostinger's AI automation apps page lists the apps it runs for you: "Works with: Hermes, OpenClaw, n8n, Paperclip". On that plan Hostinger says: "we handle the setup, updates, backups, and security." You do not see or manage a server. It is the same plan that runs OpenClaw, the agent covered in CriticNest's explainer on what OpenClaw is, and you can switch the plan from one app to another.

Both routes run the same open-source software. n8n's own pricing page says a "standard, self-hosted version of n8n is available on GitHub", and n8n's hosting docs add: "Without a license key, n8n runs as the free Community edition." What you pay Hostinger for is the machine and, on the managed plan, the upkeep. Both routes are priced as flat monthly rates, not per workflow or per execution.

Which route is cheaper, and what you give up for the saving, depends on details that sit in three different places: the pricing card, the checkout and the FAQ. The sections below put them side by side.

The commission does not change with the plan, so the comparison below points to the cheaper managed plan where it fits and to n8n's own cloud or to no paid hosting at all where those fit better. CriticNest has no affiliate relationship with n8n or Zapier. Every price was read on Hostinger's, n8n's and Zapier's own pages, and in Hostinger's checkout, on 25 October 2026. Ashikur Rahman, who writes CriticNest, is a Hostinger Partner through his agency Proximity Ranker, and the Hostinger links in this article use his referral code, 9MFASHIKUSCB, which also works as a coupon code at Hostinger checkout.

What does a Hostinger VPS for n8n cost?

Four plans, all paid upfront on a 24-month term during the sale. Hostinger's footnote applies here as on every plan: "All plans are paid upfront. The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan." The table turns each monthly figure into what you actually pay on the day and at renewal.

PlanResourcesSale price a monthPaid upfront for 24 monthsRenews atNext 24 months at renewal
KVM 11 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe$6.49$155.76$11.99 a month$287.76
KVM 22 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB NVMe$8.79$210.96$14.99 a month$359.76
KVM 44 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 200 GB NVMe$12.99$311.76$28.99 a month$695.76
KVM 88 vCPU, 32 GB RAM, 400 GB NVMe$25.99$623.76$49.99 a month$1,199.76

Every plan carries the same n8n feature list on the page: "Unlimited workflows", "Unlimited concurrent executions", "n8n with queue mode", "n8n with 100+ pre-made workflows", "One-click n8n installation" and a "Hostinger API n8n community node". The differences are the resources. Hostinger's own FAQ singles out KVM 2: "two virtual CPU cores, 8 GB of RAM, and 100 GB of NVMe SSD storage, which is ideal for small-to-medium businesses and online stores."

The renewal is where the cost jumps. KVM 1 goes from $6.49 to $11.99 a month, an 85% rise, and KVM 2 from $8.79 to $14.99, a 71% rise. Over the second two years, KVM 2 costs $359.76 against $210.96 for the first two. That is normal for Hostinger, which prices every product as a low first term and a higher renewal, as the breakdown of Hostinger's Black Friday 2026 prices shows for its web hosting plans.

See Hostinger's n8n VPS plansReferral link. Coupon code 9MFASHIKUSCB. Prices are for a 24-month term, paid upfront.

What does the checkout add that the pricing page leaves out?

Three things, and the first one is the term. The n8n page shows monthly prices and a line under each card such as "Renews at $14.99/mo for 2 years", but it never states the billing term next to the price. CriticNest opened the KVM 2 checkout to confirm it. The cart reads "Period | 24 months", with the KVM 2 plan at $210.96 for the 24-month period, shown against $587.76.

Second, the renewal term. The cart's wording is more specific than the card's: "Renews after 24 months at $14.99/mo for 24 months. Cancel anytime." So the renewal is another 24-month block, billed at the renewal rate. At $14.99 a month, that block is $359.76.

Third, the extras. The KVM 2 checkout offers "Daily auto-backup" at $6 a month, an "Agentic Mail" address at $1.19 a month and a pack of 1000 Hostinger AI credits for $10. None of them is included in the $210.96. Daily backups are the one most n8n users should think about, because the database holds every workflow and every stored credential. Over 24 months the backup add-on is $144, which takes KVM 2 from $210.96 to $354.96.

The checkout also confirms two small things in your favour: a free domain for one year comes with the order, and the line "n8n auto-deploys with your VPS" means the template is applied for you rather than left as a manual step.

What does Hostinger's managed n8n plan cost?

The AI automation apps plan has three terms. On 25 October 2026 the page showed $4.99 a month for 24 months, $7.99 a month for 12 months and $10.99 for one month, with the line "Renews at $11.99/mo. Prices exclude applicable taxes."

Managed plan termPrice a monthPaid upfrontAfter the term
24 months$4.99$119.76$11.99 a month
12 months$7.99$95.88$11.99 a month
1 month$10.99$10.99$11.99 a month

Set against the VPS, the managed plan is $36.00 cheaper over the first 24 months than KVM 1 ($119.76 against $155.76), and after that both renew at the same $11.99 a month. That is the finding most people miss: the cheapest way to run n8n on Hostinger is not the VPS that Hostinger's n8n page is built around.

The managed plan also takes work off your hands. Hostinger says you can "Launch in around 60 seconds" and that it handles "the setup, updates, backups, and security." On a VPS, every one of those is your job.

What the managed page does not tell you is how much machine you get. It publishes no CPU, no RAM, no disk and no execution or workflow cap for the managed plan. It also does not say whether the managed n8n app supports community nodes or queue mode, both of which the VPS page lists by name. If your workflows are light, a schedule here, a webhook there, that silence may never matter. If you plan heavy AI workflows or large data runs, you are buying a box whose size you cannot see.

One more clause is worth reading before you commit. The plan lets you switch between apps, but Hostinger's FAQ warns: "Because each app has its own architecture, your configurations, conversation history, and custom setups don't transfer automatically when you switch. You'll start fresh on the new app." Export your n8n workflows before you try another app on the same plan.

Managed or VPS: what do you give up for the cheaper plan?

Visibility and control, in return for price and less work. The table sets out what each page actually publishes.

Read it as two different buyers. If you want n8n running this afternoon and have never logged in to a Linux server, the managed plan is the one built for you, and it costs less. If you need to know your resources, want queue mode for scale, plan to install community nodes, or want to run other software beside n8n, the VPS is the one that tells you what you are getting.

See Hostinger's managed n8n planReferral link. Coupon code 9MFASHIKUSCB. Hostinger publishes no CPU or RAM figure for this plan.

Who supports n8n when a workflow breaks?

On the VPS, you do. Hostinger's FAQ is plain about where its help ends: "Please note that our support scope covers the VPS environment itself, including installation and ensuring the n8n application is running. As n8n is self-hosted, we do not provide technical support or troubleshooting for internal n8n workflows, configuration, or custom code."

That sentence is the most important thing on the page, and it sits near the bottom. Hostinger will help if the server is down or n8n will not start. It will not help if a workflow fails, a credential stops working or a node returns an error you do not understand. For those, your options are n8n's community forum, n8n's documentation, or someone you pay.

n8n's own documentation says the same thing about self-hosting in general. Its comparison of n8n Cloud and self-hosting lists technical expertise as "Required for installation and configuration" and maintenance as "Your responsibility". Its decision table points anyone who does not "have technical expertise" to n8n Cloud, which it describes as "Fully managed, no setup or maintenance required".

Hostinger's managed plan sits between the two. Hostinger handles the setup and updates, but nothing on the page says it will debug your workflows either. Plan for workflow problems to be yours on any Hostinger route.

How does Hostinger compare with n8n Cloud and Zapier?

On price over four years, both Hostinger routes are far cheaper than either cloud service, as long as your volume is real. The fairest comparison counts two years at the sale price and two years at renewal for Hostinger, and four years at the annual rate for the others.

OptionWhat you getFour-year cost
Hostinger managed AI automation appsManaged n8n; resources and limits not published$407.52
Hostinger KVM 11 vCPU, 4 GB RAM; unlimited workflows and executions$443.52
Hostinger KVM 22 vCPU, 8 GB RAM; unlimited workflows and executions$570.72
n8n Cloud Starter2.5K executions a month, 5 concurrent, hosted by n8n960 euros
Zapier Professional750 tasks a month$959.52

The units are not the same, so read the right-hand column with care. n8n Cloud bills by execution, and n8n defines one as "a single run of your entire workflow. It doesn't matter how many steps are in the workflow or how much data it processes." Starter is 20 euros a month billed annually for 2.5K executions, and Pro is 50 euros a month for 10K. Zapier bills by task, where each action step counts, so 750 Zapier tasks can be far fewer workflow runs than 750 n8n executions. The way those units refuse to convert is worked through in the guide to Zapier alternatives on AppSumo.

What the cloud services buy you is the absence of a server. n8n Cloud includes hosting, updates and its own support channels; Zapier has the larger catalogue. Hostinger's own FAQ makes that point against itself: "if you need more pre-built connectors, n8n offers around 1,900, compared to over 5,000 with Zapier." That is Hostinger's figure, not an independent count, but it is an honest one to find on a page that sells n8n.

Which KVM plan does n8n need?

n8n does not say, at least not on the pages read for this article. Its hosting overview and its deployment guide list installation methods and their requirements, such as Docker and Docker Compose, but publish no minimum CPU or RAM figure. Hostinger's only sizing advice is the KVM 2 line quoted above, "ideal for small-to-medium businesses and online stores".

In practice, the plan follows the workload rather than the software. A handful of scheduled workflows that move data between apps is a light load, and KVM 1's 4 GB of RAM is a reasonable place to start. Workflows that call AI models, process files or run many jobs at once are heavier, and that is where KVM 2's 8 GB and Hostinger's queue-mode template come in. Hostinger lets you upgrade from hPanel later, and its FAQ suggests you "Start small and upgrade as and when you need additional resources."

Two installation notes from n8n's docs are worth knowing if you ever move off the template. n8n recommends Docker Compose for "Production deployments with databases and additional services", and it warns that "npm installation is deprecated from n8n 3.0." Hostinger's template already uses Docker, so neither affects you on day one.

Does the Black Friday sale change what n8n costs on Hostinger?

Yes, and the sale has a fixed end. Hostinger's Black Friday page shows VPS hosting at a struck $19.49 against $6.49 a month and AI automation apps at a struck $21.99 against $4.99 a month. Hostinger's Black Friday FAQ says the sale "runs from October 19 to December 14, 2026." All of the Hostinger prices on this page were read inside that window.

What the sale does not change is the renewal. KVM 1 renews at $11.99 a month and the managed plan at $11.99 a month whether you buy in the sale or in March. If you were going to buy anyway, the sale is the cheaper first term. If you were not, the renewal is the number to judge Hostinger by.

For readers coming from the hosting side, the InterServer and Hostinger comparison shows how Hostinger's promo-then-renewal pricing compares with a host that prices differently.

Which n8n option should you pick?

Pick Hostinger's managed plan if you want n8n working today, do not want to touch a server, and run light or medium workflows. It is the cheapest Hostinger route at $119.76 for 24 months, and the same plan can run OpenClaw if you want an agent beside your workflows, as covered in the review of Hostinger's managed OpenClaw. Accept that you cannot see its resources.

Pick KVM 1 if you are comfortable on a Linux server, want published resources, and want community nodes and room to install other tools. Add the $6 a month backup option or set up your own backups from day one.

Pick KVM 2 if your workflows call AI models or run in parallel, or if you plan to use queue mode. It is $210.96 for 24 months, and Hostinger's own sizing advice points small businesses there.

Pick n8n Cloud if nobody on your team will maintain a server and you want n8n's own support. Starter at 20 euros a month costs more over four years than any Hostinger route, but it removes the server from your problems entirely.

Pick nothing paid at all if you are only experimenting. n8n's Community edition runs free on your own computer, and n8n's docs call it "Free with almost the complete feature set". Buy hosting when a workflow needs to run while your laptop is closed.

What this article did not test

No n8n instance was set up for this article, on Hostinger or anywhere else. No workflow was run, no execution was timed and no plan was load-tested. Everything above comes from reading Hostinger's self-hosted n8n page, its AI automation apps page and its KVM 2 checkout, n8n's pricing page and documentation, and Zapier's pricing page, all on 25 October 2026.

Three things could not be read from any page. Hostinger publishes no resources or limits for the managed plan. Neither Hostinger nor n8n publishes a minimum server size on the pages read. And the renewal term for the managed plan is given as a monthly rate only, with no term length stated.

The short version

Running n8n on Hostinger costs from $119.76 for 24 months on the managed AI automation apps plan, or from $155.76 for 24 months on a KVM 1 VPS, and both renew at $11.99 a month. KVM 2, the plan Hostinger recommends for small businesses, is $210.96 for 24 months and renews at $14.99 a month for another 24 months; daily backups cost $6 a month extra. The managed plan is cheaper and handles setup, updates, backups and security, but publishes no CPU, RAM or execution limits. The VPS publishes its resources and supports queue mode and community nodes, but Hostinger's support stops at the server: "we do not provide technical support or troubleshooting for internal n8n workflows". Over four years, every Hostinger route costs less than n8n Cloud Starter (960 euros) or Zapier Professional ($959.52), as long as you can live without a vendor that fixes your workflows.

Does Hostinger's n8n VPS limit executions?

No limit is published. Every KVM plan lists "Unlimited workflows" and "Unlimited concurrent executions". The practical limit is the plan's CPU and RAM. The managed plan publishes no execution figure at all.

Are backups included with Hostinger's n8n VPS?

Daily backups are not included in the KVM 2 price. The checkout offers "Daily auto-backup" at $6 a month, which is $144 over a 24-month term. The managed plan says Hostinger handles backups for you.

Can I move n8n from n8n Cloud to Hostinger?

Hostinger says yes: you can export workflows from n8n Cloud or other hosts and migrate them to its VPS, and existing workflows are preserved. On the managed plan, note that switching to a different app on the same plan starts that app fresh.

Transparency: every price and quotation on this page was read on 25 October 2026 from Hostinger's self-hosted n8n page, its AI automation apps page, its Black Friday page and its KVM 2 checkout, n8n's pricing page and documentation, and Zapier's pricing page.
