SendFox Review: The $29 Lifetime Deal Now Means 300,000 Sends, Not Unlimited
Affiliate disclosure: CriticNest earns a commission if you buy SendFox through the AppSumo links on this page. It costs you nothing extra, and it did not change the verdict. SendFox is owned by Sumo Group, the company behind AppSumo.
Quick answer: SendFox is a good email tool for creators and small newsletters under 5,000 contacts, and the $29 AppSumo lifetime deal is the cheapest legitimate way to run one. The catch most reviews miss: since June 2026 the deal gives you 300,000 emails in total, not per month. Send weekly to a full 5,000-person list and that pool runs out in about 14 months. After that, SendFox's own Pro plan picks up at $19 a month. Prices and limits read on 23 October 2026.
What is SendFox, and who owns it?
SendFox is an email marketing tool built for bloggers, podcasters, YouTubers and other creators who send newsletters. It was founded in September 2018 and is run out of Austin, Texas, by Sumo Group, the parent company of AppSumo. AppSumo calls it an "AppSumo Original", which means AppSumo built it rather than reselling someone else's software.
That ownership matters for two reasons. First, the lifetime deal is not a startup trying to raise cash before it disappears. The deal is sold by the company that owns the product. Second, every AppSumo review on the deal page is a review of AppSumo's own product, so read them with that in mind.
SendFox claims 150,000+ users and 35 million emails sent a month, according to a June 2026 post by its general manager on the AppSumo deal page. Those are the company's numbers, not independently audited ones.
What changed with the SendFox lifetime deal in 2026?
The deal got simpler and, for heavy senders, smaller. Older SendFox reviews describe a lifetime plan with stackable codes, contact limits up to 25,000 and paid contact top-ups. That plan is gone. On 9 June 2026 SendFox announced a single new lifetime tier, and that is the one on sale now.
Here is what the current AppSumo listing gives you for $29:
| What you get | Lifetime deal ($29 once) |
|---|---|
| Contacts | 5,000 |
| Emails | 300,000 lifetime sends, no monthly refresh |
| Automations, forms, landing pages | Unlimited |
| Contact lists | Unlimited |
| API and AI-agent (MCP) access | Yes |
| Branding | Small SendFox footer stays on your emails |
| Support | Email only |
| Refund window | 60 days through AppSumo |
The deal terms also say you must activate the license within 60 days of purchase, and there are no codes and no stacking. You cannot buy three and get 15,000 contacts the way people did with the old deal.
See the SendFox $29 deal on AppSumoTracking link. 5,000 contacts, 300,000 sends, 60-day refund.
How long do 300,000 sends actually last?
It depends on list size and how often you send. One send is one email to one person, so a newsletter to 2,000 people uses 2,000 sends. The table below assumes one email a week, about 4.33 a month, to your whole list.
| List size | Sends per month (weekly newsletter) | How long 300,000 sends last | Cost per 1,000 emails |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | about 4,330 | about 69 months (5.7 years) | about 10 cents |
| 2,500 | about 10,830 | about 28 months | about 10 cents |
| 5,000 | about 21,650 | about 14 months | about 10 cents |
Welcome sequences and automations draw from the same pool. A three-email welcome series for 100 new subscribers a month adds 300 sends a month on top of your newsletter.
Lists also grow. If you start at 1,000 contacts and grow to 5,000 over two years, your monthly usage roughly quintuples. The 69-month figure only holds if your list stays small, and the point of a newsletter is usually that it doesn't.
What happens when the 300,000 sends run out?
You move to a paid Pro plan or stop sending. SendFox's pricing page puts Pro at $19 a month for 5,000 contacts and 100,000 sends a month, and those sends refresh every month. Pro also removes the SendFox footer and adds paid newsletters through Stripe, a full HTML editor and what SendFox calls its "VIP sending IP".
Pro tiers read on 23 October 2026:
| Plan | Monthly price | Yearly price | Contacts | Sends per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 1,000 | 3,000 |
| Pro 1 | $19 | $190 | 5,000 | 100,000 |
| Pro 2 | $39 | $390 | 15,000 | 200,000 |
| Pro 3 | $79 | $790 | 50,000 | 400,000 |
| Pro 4 | $149 | $1,490 | 100,000 | 800,000 |
| Pro 5 | $399 | $3,990 | 250,000 | 2,000,000 |
Even after the lifetime pool is gone, Pro 1 at $19 is cheap for 5,000 contacts. MailerLite's cheapest paid plan at 5,000 subscribers is $49 a month on monthly billing, which we cover in SendFox vs MailerLite.
One unresolved detail: AppSumo's deal terms still say branding removal costs "$10 per month with Empire Add-On." SendFox's own pricing page no longer lists Empire and sells branding removal inside Pro at $19. Treat Pro as the current path, and ask support before you pay for anything called Empire.
Is SendFox free?
Yes. The free plan has no time limit and needs no card. It covers 1,000 contacts and 3,000 sends a month, with one landing page (SendFox calls them Smart Pages), one form and one automation. Your emails carry SendFox branding.
For 1,000 contacts, 3,000 monthly sends means three newsletters a month and no automation traffic. A weekly sender at 1,000 contacts hits the cap in the fourth week. That makes the free plan a good test bed and a tight long-term home.
MailerLite's free plan, for comparison, stops at 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month. SendFox's free tier is four times larger on contacts.
What does SendFox do well?
SendFox does the core newsletter job without much to learn. Based on the feature list and the changelog it publishes, these are the parts worth paying for.
Smart Campaigns (RSS to email)
Connect your blog or podcast feed and SendFox turns each new post into a newsletter draft, then schedules it. For a blogger who publishes weekly, this replaces the most repetitive job in email marketing. The default layout is fixed, though you can edit the generated email before it goes out.
Automations with branching
Automations used to be simple welcome sequences. The changelog posted on the deal page on 20 October 2026 lists tag-based triggers, adding and removing tags inside a flow, and yes/no branches based on opens, clicks or tags. A/B testing inside automations is also listed. That moves SendFox from "welcome email only" to genuine basic segmentation.
Forms, popups and landing pages
The lifetime deal includes unlimited forms and Smart Pages. The same changelog adds popups, slide-ins and sticky bars with themes and a live preview. You can run a list without owning a website, because SendFox hosts the landing page.
Referral widget and newsletter directory
A built-in referral widget lets subscribers earn rewards for sharing your newsletter. SendFox also lists newsletters in a public directory on its site. Neither is unique in the market, but both usually cost extra on budget tools.
AI writer and MCP access
Paste a link to a post or video and SendFox drafts an email. There is also an MCP connection, so you can add contacts and draft campaigns from Claude or ChatGPT. SendFox's privacy policy says these AI features send your content to OpenAI's API, which does not let OpenAI train on it.
Teams and list-level unsubscribe
You can now invite teammates with their own logins. Subscribers can also leave one list without leaving all of them, which helps if you run several newsletters from one account.

Where does SendFox fall short?
The gaps are real, and some of them decide whether SendFox fits at all.
- No SMTP. SendFox does not hand out SMTP credentials. You validate your own sending domain instead. A transactional email API exists on all plans, and its sends count against your plan.
- No native Shopify integration. SendFox's own answer on AppSumo says it is "not yet" built. You would need Zapier, the API or webhooks. Store owners should look at MailerLite or Kit instead.
- Basic HTML editor on Lifetime. The full HTML editor is a Pro feature.
- No cold email. SendFox states it "legally cannot do cold outreach emails." Purchased, scraped or borrowed lists are not allowed.
- Affiliate-heavy senders are unwelcome. SendFox's general manager wrote on the deal page that "Gmail HATES affiliate emails" and that low-quality affiliate blasts are not a fit. Its terms back that up, as covered below.
- Email-only support. No live chat or phone. Several negative reviews on public review sites mention slow replies.
- Conflicting answers on two features. The deal page says you can host landing pages "on your own custom domain", but an older FAQ on the same page says custom domains for Smart Pages are "not currently" supported. AppSumo's FAQ also says Lifetime accounts require double opt-in, while SendFox's pricing page says Lifetime gets "single opt-in after a one-time domain setup." Confirm both with support during your 60-day refund window.
Is SendFox's deliverability any good?
SendFox says it is strong, and independent proof is thin. The June 2026 update on the deal page claims a "High" reputation rating on all sending IPs and the default sending domain. We could not verify that from outside, and nobody publishes neutral inbox-placement tests for small senders that we would trust.
What we can say is how SendFox protects its sending reputation, because it is written into the terms. SendFox's Terms of Service say it may "measure the results of all emails sent" and, if an email performs below what it deems acceptable, "terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately with no refund." The same terms let SendFox reduce your send volume to keep everyone's deliverability healthy.
That is good news if you send to people who asked to hear from you. Shared sending pools only stay clean when the provider removes bad senders. It is bad news if your list is old, scraped or mostly affiliate offers, because you can lose the account and the $29 with it.
The practical steps are the same anywhere: validate your domain, set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and clean out contacts who haven't opened in months. Our guide on how many emails you can send a day without going to spam covers the sending limits that matter.
What do SendFox's terms and privacy policy say?
I read SendFox's Terms of Service (last updated 12 April 2024) and its privacy policy on 23 October 2026. My law degrees (LLB and LLM) are why I read the fine print most reviews skip. These are the clauses that matter to a buyer.
- The terms are out of date for the current deal. The "Lifetime Plan" clause still describes a 25,000-contact cap and $10 per 1,000 contact top-ups. The deal sold today is 5,000 contacts and 300,000 sends. Where the two disagree, the deal terms on AppSumo are what you bought, so screenshot them at purchase.
- Refunds for lifetime buyers go through AppSumo, not SendFox. That means AppSumo's 60-day window applies. Monthly Pro plans get only 7 days.
- Termination without refund applies for misuse or poor email performance, as quoted above.
- Disputes: Texas law, courts in Austin, and SendFox can choose to require binding arbitration. Claims must be filed within one year.
- Liability cap: whatever you paid in the previous 12 months. For a lifetime buyer, that could be $29 or less.
- Terms can change with 14 days' notice by posting on the website.
- Deleted data isn't fully gone. The privacy policy says deleted contacts and emails are removed from your account, but "we keep the underlying records in our systems." To have them permanently erased, you must email support.
- No data sales. The policy says SendFox will "never sell your information to a third party." It does use remarketing cookies, including Google's.
- AI review of your emails. SendFox uses OpenAI to help review email content for safety, which means automated scanning of what you send.
- GDPR: SendFox says it is GDPR and DPA compliant and publishes a Data Processing Agreement.
None of these are red flags for a normal newsletter. Two are worth acting on: keep your contact count clean, and keep a copy of the AppSumo deal terms.
What do SendFox buyers say?
On AppSumo, SendFox averages 4.0 out of 5 from 341 reviews as of 23 October 2026. The breakdown: 202 five-star, 38 four-star, 44 three-star, 19 two-star and 38 one-star. Roughly 70% rate it four or five, and about 11% give it one star.
The positive reviews mostly praise the price, the simple editor and the automations. The negative ones on AppSumo and Trustpilot cluster around three things: emails not sending or arriving late, accounts closed without warning, and slow email support. Review sites disagree on SendFox's Trustpilot score, so we haven't quoted one.
The account-closure complaints line up with the termination clause above. We can't judge any single case, but they're a reminder to keep your list clean and back up your contacts.

Who should buy SendFox?
Buy the $29 deal if you match most of these:
- You're a blogger, podcaster, YouTuber or author sending a newsletter to people who opted in.
- Your list is under 2,500 today, so the send pool lasts two years or more.
- You don't sell physical products through Shopify.
- You want RSS-to-email so your posts go out without extra work.
- You're fine with a small SendFox footer.
Get SendFox for $29 on AppSumoTracking link. $29 once, 60-day refund through AppSumo.
Who should skip SendFox?
- Online stores that need purchase-based automations. MailerLite has native Shopify and WooCommerce integrations.
- Anyone doing cold outreach. SendFox forbids it. Use a dedicated cold email tool.
- Affiliate marketers whose emails are mostly offers. The terms make your account a liability.
- Daily senders with big lists. At 5,000 contacts and daily sends, 300,000 sends last about two months.
- Teams that need live support or a full design system for emails.
What are the best SendFox alternatives?
- MailerLite: stronger automations, websites, digital products and integrations. Free to 250 subscribers, then from $12 a month. See SendFox vs MailerLite.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit): the creator-focused option with a stronger commerce layer, at a much higher monthly cost.
- Beehiiv: built for newsletter publishers who want growth and ad tools.

What this review did not do
We did not run a SendFox account for this review, send a campaign or measure inbox placement. Everything above comes from sendfox.com/pricing, sendfox.com/vs/mailerlite, SendFox's Terms of Service and privacy policy, and the SendFox listing, deal terms, FAQs and founder updates on appsumo.com, all read on 23 October 2026.
AppSumo deals change. The $29 price, the 5,000-contact cap and the 300,000-send pool are what was on sale that day. Check the listing on the day you buy, and use the 60-day refund window to confirm the features you depend on.
The short version
SendFox is worth $29 for a creator with an opt-in list under about 2,500 contacts who sends weekly or less. The 300,000 sends will last two years or more, and Pro at $19 a month is a fair landing spot when they run out. Skip it if you run a store, send cold email or rely on affiliate promotions, and read the termination and contact-count clauses before you import a large old list.
Frequently asked questions
Is SendFox good?
SendFox is good for creators sending newsletters to opt-in lists under 5,000 contacts. It covers RSS-to-email, automations with branching, forms and landing pages at a low price. It's a weaker fit for online stores, cold outreach and affiliate-heavy lists, and support is email only.
Is SendFox free?
Yes. SendFox's free plan has no time limit and needs no card. It includes 1,000 contacts, 3,000 sends a month, one landing page, one form and one automation. Emails carry SendFox branding. Paid Pro plans start at $19 a month, and the AppSumo lifetime deal costs $29 once.
How much does SendFox cost?
SendFox Free is $0. The lifetime deal on AppSumo is $29 once for 5,000 contacts and 300,000 total sends. Pro plans run from $19 a month for 5,000 contacts up to $399 a month for 250,000 contacts, with two months free on yearly billing. Prices read on 23 October 2026.
Is the SendFox lifetime deal monthly or total sends?
Total. Since June 2026 the $29 lifetime deal includes 300,000 lifetime sends with no monthly refresh. At one email a week to 5,000 contacts, that lasts about 14 months. At 1,000 contacts it lasts about five and a half years. Pro plans have monthly sends that refresh.
Can I remove SendFox branding on the lifetime plan?
No. A small SendFox footer stays on lifetime emails. SendFox's pricing page says Pro removes it, starting at $19 a month. AppSumo's deal terms still mention a $10-a-month Empire Add-On for branding removal, so confirm the current option with SendFox support before paying.
Does SendFox work with Shopify?
Not natively. SendFox's answer on AppSumo says a Shopify integration is not built yet. You can connect a store through Zapier, Pabbly webhooks or the SendFox API. If your email marketing depends on purchase data, MailerLite or Kit are better fits.
Can I use SendFox for cold email?
No. SendFox says it legally cannot be used for cold outreach, and purchased or scraped lists are not allowed. Its terms let it suspend accounts whose emails perform poorly, with no refund. Use a dedicated cold email tool for prospecting.
Is SendFox GDPR compliant?
SendFox states it is GDPR and DPA compliant and publishes a Data Processing Agreement at sendfox.com/dpa. Its privacy policy says it never sells user information. Deleted data stays in SendFox's records until you email support and ask for permanent deletion.
What happens when my SendFox lifetime sends run out?
You can upgrade to a Pro plan, which starts at $19 a month for 5,000 contacts and 100,000 sends a month, or stop sending. SendFox's pricing page describes Pro as the plan that "picks up" when lifetime sends are used up.
Can I get a refund on the SendFox AppSumo deal?
Yes, within 60 days of purchase through AppSumo. SendFox's terms say lifetime refunds follow the policy of the site you bought from. Monthly Pro subscriptions bought from SendFox directly get a 7-day refund window.
Who owns SendFox?
SendFox is owned by Sumo Group, Inc., the company behind AppSumo, and is based in Austin, Texas. AppSumo sells it as an "AppSumo Original," the same label it uses for TidyCal, BreezeDoc and FormRobin.
